Today we go backwards to raise awareness of rear-facing travelling!
The Swedish Child Safety Day is an initiative of NTF and Volvia, organized today on May 11th for the ninth annual year. Together with preschools across the country, the traditional backward march is being celebrated today. Over 32,000 preschool children have marched backwards for safety reasons until today.
The purpose of the day is to raise awareness of the safety for children by car and to ensure that children are travel rear-facing for as long as possible. Something we at Axkid stand behind and we always recommend rear-facing for as long as possible.
Swedish parents have a lack of awareness of child safety in the car according to the annual survey, conducted by the Swedish insurance company Volva. Today, the survey from 2017 is released among 1000 Swedish families showing that 50 000 children under four years do not travel rear-facing.
